Sanction Scanner Pricing and Sanction Scanner Alternatives for OFAC Screening
Sanction Scanner does not publish a price list. Its site sends buyers to a demo request, G2 and Capterra both say to contact the vendor, and its old pricing page now returns a not found error. Third party estimates run from about $30 to $450 a month for smaller tiers. OfacScanner shows every price up front, from $288 a year for 1,000 sanctions checks a month.
How much does Sanction Scanner cost in 2026
There is no public number to quote. Sanction Scanner says it prices by the number of entities you screen each month. Its website offers a "Request Demo" button and a limited free sanction check, but no plan table, and the pricing address that used to describe its packages returned a 404 when we checked it in October 2026.
The marketplaces do not help much either. G2 shows that the vendor has not supplied pricing and asks you to contact sales, and Capterra lists "contact vendor for pricing". Spendbase, a spend management company, publishes estimates of roughly $30 to $450 a month for smaller tiers and an enterprise suite from about $500 a month, based on its own internal data. Treat those as a starting point for negotiation, not a quote.
The scope is wide. Sanction Scanner sells name and transaction screening, PEP and adverse media checks, know your business checks, customer risk scoring, transaction monitoring and fraud detection, and says it covers more than 3,000 sanctions, PEP and watch lists from over 220 countries. If you need all of that, a quote is normal. If you only need OFAC and a few other sanctions lists, you are paying for scope your program never asked for.
Sanction Scanner vs OfacScanner pricing and features

What sanctions screening costs at three sizes
A yearly comparison for a U.S. team that only has to screen sanctions lists. The Sanction Scanner column is what you have to ask for, because no figure is published.
| Your situation | Sanction Scanner | OfacScanner plan | OfacScanner yearly cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Under 1,000 new names a month, OFAC only | Quote, estimates from about $360 a year | Starter | $288 |
| A 5,000 customer or vendor file rescreened after every list update | Quote by monitored entities | Growth | $2,988 |
| Payments or signups screened in real time through an API | Quote, enterprise suite estimated from about $6,000 a year | Scale | $11,988 |
Sanction Scanner figures are yearly versions of the Spendbase monthly estimates and are not vendor prices. OfacScanner Starter does not rescreen saved records, which is why the second row needs Growth.
When Sanction Scanner is the better choice
Pick Sanction Scanner if you run a full anti money laundering program. A money transmitter, payment company, crypto business or bank usually has to screen politically exposed persons and adverse media, verify business customers and their owners, and monitor transactions for unusual patterns. Sanction Scanner sells those modules in one platform, and its list coverage is far wider than ours.
It is also a sensible pick when you onboard customers in dozens of countries and your bank partner expects PEP screening on every account. OfacScanner covers sanctions lists only. Our page on AML sanctions screening explains which part of an AML program we handle and which part you would still buy elsewhere.
Why sanctions-only teams choose OfacScanner instead
These buyers have an OFAC requirement from a bank, insurer, auditor or large customer, and no written requirement to screen PEPs or adverse media.
A price you can read today
Starter, Growth and Scale show fixed monthly and yearly prices. You can budget a year of screening before anyone books a demo.
A PDF for every decision
Each check saves a certificate with the list version, the time, the user and how the score was built, which is what an examiner or bank partner asks for.
The lists a U.S. program needs
OFAC SDN and Consolidated on every plan, plus UN, EU, UK, Canada and Australia on Growth, without paying for 3,000 lists you never use.
Rescreening after list changes
Ongoing sanctions monitoring rechecks saved records each time a list changes and alerts only on new possible matches.
A whole file in one upload
Batch sanctions screening scores every row of a customer or supplier CSV and opens a case for each possible match.
An API without a sales cycle
The sanctions screening API comes with Scale, so a developer can connect onboarding or payouts the same day.
How to compare a Sanction Scanner quote with fixed plans
Do this before the demo call, so the quote is easy to judge.
-
01
Count entities and checks
Write down how many customers, vendors or payees you screen each month and how many you keep under monitoring. Sanction Scanner prices by entities, we price by checks.
-
02
List what your policy requires
If your written program names only sanctions screening, PEP, adverse media, KYB and transaction monitoring are cost without use.
-
03
Ask for the full term price
Ask Sanction Scanner for the yearly total at your volume, the overage rate, whether the API is included and how renewals are priced.
-
04
Test your hardest names
Run a few difficult names in the console at the top of this page, open the PDF and check whether it would satisfy your auditor.

A match score is a lead, not a verdict
No screening tool decides on its own that a person or company is sanctioned. Both products score how close a name is to a listed entry. Confirm a likely match against the official Treasury Sanctions List Search and bring in your compliance lead or counsel before you block, reject or report anything. Comparing other vendors?
