Sanctions.io Pricing and a Sanctions.io Alternative with Public Prices

Sanctions.io does not print prices on its website. Its pricing calculator asks for your yearly screening volume, number of entities, screening interval and a 1, 2 or 3 year term, then returns a quote. Its HubSpot Marketplace listing, last updated April 15, 2026 and marked display only, shows 10,000 screenings for $3,660 a year, 50,000 for $6,900 and 250,000 for $11,625. OfacScanner publishes fixed prices, from $288 a year for 1,000 checks a month.

How much does sanctions.io cost in 2026

Expect a quote, not a price list. The calculator on sanctions.io lets you pick a yearly volume of 5,000, 10,000, 50,000, 100,000, 250,000 or more screenings, an entity count from 100 to over 10,000, an interval (once, quarterly, monthly or ongoing monitoring) and a contract of 1, 2 or 3 years. You can pay monthly by card or yearly by invoice. The price fields stay blank until you send the form.

The only public numbers we found sit on the sanctions.io app listing in the HubSpot Marketplace. The SMALL package is 10,000 screenings for $3,660 a year and includes global sanctions lists, global PEP data, full API access and the screening portal. MEDIUM is 50,000 screenings for $6,900 and LARGE is 250,000 for $11,625. The listing says those prices are for display only, so treat them as a floor for your conversation with sales, not a quote.

Packages are sold as a block of screenings. They renew after twelve months, or earlier once you use them up.

What 10,000 and 50,000 screenings a year cost on each

Two common volumes, priced from public numbers. This is only a fair match for a sanctions-only program, because every sanctions.io package includes PEP data that OfacScanner does not have.

Yearly cost of sanctions screening at two volumes
Yearly volume sanctions.io listed price OfacScanner plan OfacScanner yearly cost
10,000 screenings, OFAC only $3,660 (SMALL) Starter, up to 1,000 a month $288
10,000 screenings, OFAC plus UN, EU and UK $3,660 (SMALL) Growth $2,988
50,000 screenings, multi list $6,900 (MEDIUM) Growth, up to 50,000 a month $2,988
250,000 screenings with API access $11,625 (LARGE) Scale, 500,000 a month with API $11,988

Starter covers 1,000 checks in each month, so it fits 10,000 a year only when volume is spread evenly. A team that screens a whole file once a quarter needs Growth for batch upload.

When sanctions.io is the better choice

Pick sanctions.io if your program needs more than sanctions. A fintech or payments company with an AML program usually has to screen customers for politically exposed persons and adverse media as well. Sanctions.io bundles PEP data with over a million records, news from more than 60,000 sources and criminal lists such as Interpol Red Notices. OfacScanner does none of that, and buying a second PEP tool next to us can cost more than one bundle.

It is also the better fit when screening has to live inside your CRM or store. Sanctions.io lists ready connectors for Salesforce, HubSpot, SAP and Shopify, and its API comes with the smallest package. On OfacScanner the API starts on Scale. If that is your setup, take the AML screening scope seriously and choose the tool that covers all of it.

Why sanctions-only teams pick OfacScanner instead

These are the buyers who leave the sanctions.io quote unsigned.

A price you can approve today

Finance can sign off on $49 a month without a discovery call, a proposal or a multi year term. Cancel at the end of any month on monthly billing.

Volume per month, not per year

Growth includes 50,000 checks every month. The MEDIUM sanctions.io package is 50,000 for the whole year. A team that rescreens its file often runs out of a yearly block fast.

Proof for each decision

Every check saves a PDF with the list version, the time, the user and why the score came out the way it did. That is the page an auditor or bank partner asks for.

The lists a U.S. program needs

OFAC SDN and Consolidated on every plan, plus UN, EU, UK, Canada and Australia on Growth. That covers most sanctions-only programs without paying for PEP data you never use.

Rescreening after every update

Ongoing sanctions monitoring rechecks up to 50,000 saved records on Growth each time a list changes and alerts only on new matches.

Whole files in one pass

Batch sanctions screening takes a CSV of customers or vendors as it is and rates every row, with cases opened for the possible matches.

How to compare a sanctions.io quote with fixed plans

Do this before you sign a 2 or 3 year term.

  1. 01

    Count real screenings per year

Add onboarding checks, rescreening of the existing file and payment checks. Rescreening a 5,000 name file monthly is 60,000 screenings a year on a block based plan.

  2. 02

Decide whether you need PEP and media

If your policy only asks for sanctions screening, the PEP and adverse media part of a bundle is cost without use.

  3. 03

    Price both at that volume

Use the sanctions.io calculator for a quote and our pricing page for the fixed figure. Ask sanctions.io what happens when the block runs out before the year ends.

  4. 04

    Test with your own names

Run a few hard names in the console at the top of this page, then open the PDF and decide whether it would satisfy your auditor.

Questions to ask before you sign either contract

  • What is the total cost over the full term, not the first year

  • Are screenings counted per name, per list or per rescreen

  • What happens to unused screenings at renewal

  • Which record is kept for a single check, and can you download it as a PDF

  • Can a second person approve a cleared match, and is the reason saved

  • Do you need PEP and adverse media now, or only sanctions lists

A match score is a lead, not a verdict

Neither tool decides whether a person or company is sanctioned. Both score how close a name is to a listed entry. Confirm a likely match against the official Treasury Sanctions List Search and involve your compliance lead or counsel before you block, reject or report anything. Comparing API options as well? Another question? Write to [email protected].

How much does sanctions.io cost?

Sanctions.io quotes prices through a calculator rather than a price list. Its HubSpot Marketplace listing, updated April 15, 2026, shows 10,000 screenings for $3,660 a year, 50,000 for $6,900 and 250,000 for $11,625, marked as display prices. Terms run 1, 2 or 3 years, paid monthly by card or yearly by invoice.

Does sanctions.io have a free trial?

Yes. Sanctions.io offers a free 7 day trial and does not ask for a credit card. OfacScanner has no trial period, but the console on this page runs a screening without an account, and a new account gets 10 demo checks in total before you pick a plan.

Is there a cheaper alternative to sanctions.io?

For a sanctions-only program, yes. OfacScanner Starter costs $288 a year for 1,000 OFAC checks a month, and Growth costs $2,988 a year for 50,000 checks a month across OFAC, UN, EU, UK, Canada and Australia lists. If you also need PEP and adverse media, sanctions.io bundles them and may cost less overall.

Does sanctions.io include PEP screening?

Yes. Sanctions.io lists global PEP data with over one million records, including family members and close associates, and its smallest listed package includes it. OfacScanner screens sanctions lists only, so a team that must screen PEPs needs a separate provider next to it.

Does sanctions.io have an API?

Yes. Sanctions.io offers a real time screening API with a stated average response of about 350 milliseconds, plus a batch endpoint, and API access is included in its smallest listed package. The OfacScanner sanctions screening API is part of the Scale plan, with webhooks for new matches.

Can I pay for OfacScanner monthly instead of signing a contract?

Yes. Every OfacScanner plan is available month to month at the listed monthly price, or yearly at about half the monthly rate. There is no multi year term, no minimum block of screenings and no sales call needed to start.
