How much does ComplyAdvantage cost in 2026

Two very different products share one name. The self service Starter plan on the ComplyAdvantage pricing page reads "from $99 per month" and is sold by the number of monitored entities, in steps of 100, 250, 500, 750, 1,000, 1,500 and 2,000. PricingSaaS, which tracks the page, lists Starter Essentials at $119 a month billed monthly or $99 a month billed yearly, and Starter Agentic, which adds AI review workflows, at $179 monthly or $149 a month yearly.

Starter includes sanctions and watchlists, PEPs and their relatives and close associates, adverse media, customer and company screening and ongoing monitoring. Customers you monitor above your allowance are billed in the next cycle. Enterprise is "price on application" and adds unlimited usage, payment screening, transaction monitoring and premium support.

Enterprise is where most of the money sits. Vendr, which negotiates software contracts for buyers, reports a median ComplyAdvantage deal of $112,500 a year across 9 purchases, with a range from $17,090 to $328,791.

What a sanctions program costs at three sizes

A rough yearly comparison for a team that only has to screen sanctions lists. ComplyAdvantage charges for PEP and media data you get either way, so this is only fair if you do not need it.

Yearly cost of sanctions screening by customer file size
Your situation ComplyAdvantage OfacScanner plan OfacScanner yearly cost
Under 1,000 new names a month, OFAC only, no rescreening Starter, from $1,188 a year at the smallest tier Starter $288
A 5,000 customer file rescreened after every list update Above the 2,000 entity Starter limit, Enterprise quote Growth, 50,000 monitored records $2,988
Payments screened in real time through an API Enterprise quote, often five or six figures (Vendr) Scale $11,988

The ComplyAdvantage figure in the first row is $99 a month billed yearly, the lowest published Starter price. Larger Starter tiers cost more. OfacScanner Starter does not rescreen saved records, which is why the second row needs Growth.

When ComplyAdvantage is the better choice

Choose ComplyAdvantage if you run a full AML program. A bank, money transmitter, card issuer or crypto exchange usually has to screen customers for politically exposed persons and adverse media, not just sanctions, and often has to monitor transactions for suspicious patterns too. ComplyAdvantage covers all of that in one platform, and its Starter plan includes PEP and media data even at $99. OfacScanner covers sanctions lists only.

It also makes sense when you onboard customers in many countries and need one vendor for every market, or when your bank partner names ComplyAdvantage in its program requirements. If your scope looks like that, read our page on AML sanctions screening to see which part we cover and which part you would still need elsewhere.

Why sanctions-only teams choose OfacScanner instead

These buyers usually have an OFAC requirement from a bank, insurer, auditor or large customer, and no requirement to screen PEPs.

A published price at every size

Starter, Growth and Scale all show a fixed monthly and yearly price. You do not need a sales call to learn what 50,000 checks a month will cost.

Past 2,000 records without a quote

Growth monitors up to 50,000 saved customers or vendors and rescreens them after each list update. On ComplyAdvantage that file size is past the Starter ceiling.

A PDF for every decision

Each check saves a certificate with the list version, the time, the user and how the score was built. That is the page an examiner or bank partner asks to see.

The lists a U.S. program needs

OFAC SDN and Consolidated on every plan, plus UN, EU, UK, Canada and Australia on Growth. You do not pay for PEP and media data your policy never asked for.

Rescreening after list changes

Ongoing sanctions monitoring rechecks your saved records each time OFAC or another list changes and alerts only on new possible matches.

A whole file in one upload

Batch sanctions screening rates every row of a CSV of customers or suppliers and opens a case for each possible match.

How to compare a ComplyAdvantage quote with fixed plans

Run this before you sign an Enterprise order form or move up a Starter tier.

  1. 01

    Count monitored entities and checks

ComplyAdvantage bills by monitored entity. Count every customer you keep under monitoring, then count new checks per month, because that is how we bill.

  2. 02

Write down what your policy requires

If your written program asks only for sanctions screening, PEP, adverse media and transaction monitoring are cost without use.

  3. 03

    Price both at real volume

Ask ComplyAdvantage for the price at your entity count and term, and what happens to overage. Take our figure from the pricing page.

  4. 04

    Test with your hardest names

Run a few difficult names in the console at the top of this page, open the PDF and decide whether it would satisfy your auditor or bank partner.

Questions to ask before you sign

  • What is the total cost over the full contract term, including renewal increases

  • How are entities counted, and what does overage cost per entity

  • Is API access included in the plan you are quoted, or priced separately

  • Can you download a dated record of a single check for an examiner

  • Do you need PEP, adverse media and transaction monitoring now, or only sanctions

  • How fast are list updates applied, and are saved customers rescreened automatically

A match score is a lead, not a verdict

No screening tool decides whether a person or company is sanctioned. Both products score how close a name is to a listed entry. Confirm a likely match against the official Treasury Sanctions List Search and involve your compliance lead or counsel before you block, reject or report anything. Comparing other vendors too? How much does ComplyAdvantage cost?

ComplyAdvantage Starter starts at $99 a month billed yearly, or $119 billed monthly, for the smallest allowance of monitored entities, and Starter Agentic starts at $149 a month yearly. Enterprise is priced by quote. Vendr reports a median Enterprise contract of about $112,500 a year, with deals from about $17,000 to over $328,000.

What is ComplyAdvantage API pricing?

ComplyAdvantage says its API can be used, but it does not publish a separate API price, so API pricing is part of the plan or Enterprise quote you receive. The OfacScanner sanctions screening API is included in the Scale plan at $1,999 a month, or $999 a month billed yearly, with webhooks for new matches.

What are the best ComplyAdvantage alternatives?

It depends on scope. For full AML screening with PEP and adverse media, buyers usually compare ComplyAdvantage with sanctions.io, Sanction Scanner and LexisNexis Bridger. For a program that only needs sanctions lists, fixed price tools such as OfacScanner and OFACScreen cost far less and still keep a dated record of every check.

Does ComplyAdvantage have a free plan?

ComplyAdvantage has no free plan on its pricing page. Its ComplyLaunch program gives qualifying early stage startups free access. OfacScanner has no free plan either, but the console on this page runs a screening without an account, and a new account gets 10 demo checks before you choose a plan.

Is ComplyAdvantage good for small businesses?

Starter suits a small regulated company that must screen PEPs and adverse media as well as sanctions, and has fewer than 2,000 customers to monitor. A small business that only has an OFAC requirement, such as a dealer, title office or exporter, usually pays less on a sanctions-only plan like OfacScanner Starter at $24 a month billed yearly.

Can I pay for OfacScanner monthly instead of signing a contract?

Yes. Every OfacScanner plan is available month to month at the listed monthly price, or yearly at about half the monthly rate. There is no multi year term, no minimum commitment and no sales call needed to start.
